We Can and Must do Much Better

Please find attached a document entitled “We Can and Must do Much Better - Religious Leaders in Canada denounce Bill C-7, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (medical assistance in dying)”.  This ecumenical and interfaith document has been endorsed by over 50 religious leaders and organizations from across Canada.  As Canadians we are obliged to express our strong concern and opposition to Bill C-7 which, among other things, expands access to euthanasia and assisted suicide to those who are not dying.  The Canadian Religious Leaders urge a more complete consultation with all Canadians on this grave matter as we seek to be a society of care and compassion.
